Last night I slept outside. Yes, in February. Yes, in sub-freezing temperatures. In the big picture, it wasn't a big deal, though. The reason I bring it up is because last night was a milestone. But I'll come back to that. First, a little history. This story began in April...
By Roy Heilman | This story began in April of 2021. We were on a weekend camping trip, which happened to straddle the end of April and beginning of May. I noted how unusual it was to begin our camping season in April, and that we'd be sleeping out in both months. Then I realized I'd already camped in January and March. How disappointing, I thought, that I hadn't slept outside in February. If I had, I could have done so during every month of that calendar year. That would have been kind of neat.
